Meridian Peak is most easily reached via Elliott Ridge. A few miles north of Green Mountain Reservoir, Spring Creek Road leads you to the trail head near Blue Lake at about 11,100 feet. The views from Elliott Ridge are wonderful as you gradually climb south five miles to Meridian Peak. From here at the 12,390 foot summit you can see Green Mountain Reservoir to the east, Eagles Nest, Mount Powell, Bald Mountain, Vail Mountain, Mount of The Holy Cross and Mount Jackson, to name a few of the landmarks. The guy in the photo is Ron B.
