| Mt. Sherman is at the southern end of the Mosquito Range between Leadville and Fairplay, Colorado. It is the 45th highest mountain in Colorado at 14,036 feet. I climbed it on September 15, shortly after the first snowfall of the season. I delayed my planned climb one day waiting for much of the snow to melt, making for a much less slippery hike. I was glad I did. Please click on the thumbnails to view larger pictures and trail descriptions.
