This panorama was taken May 19, 1999 from a high point along the Blue Ridge Parkway, Craggy Pinnacle near Asheville, NC. At 5892 feet, it is one of the higher points in the US east of the Mississippi, though not nearly highest. (Mt. Mitchell, at 6684' is highest.) A 20 minute hike from the Parkway through tunnels of Rhododendron leads you to the summit where this panorama was captured. If you wonder who that guy is, it's West Virginia Bro, of the Internet Brothers. Please be sure to visit Internet Brothers Helpware and Community. You'll be glad you did. This was my second 360° panorama and the first with a tripod and digital camera. Check out the first one here.
