Horseshoe Lake Panorama — Byers Peak Wilderness

I was somewhat disappointed by Horseshoe Lake when I first arrived. Walking around to its south side, where the ends of its unusual horseshoe shape come together, I came to appreciate its beauty. (The sun came out too, so that probably helped.) This panorama was shot there, between the ends of the horseshoe. It's a four mile hike from Kinney Creek Road to the lake, in Byers Peak Wilderness, at 11,200 feet.
