| Hikers can reach Hawksbill Mountain via a short strenuous hike on the eastern side of Linville Gorge. Linville Gorge Wilderness is the third largest roadless wilderness in North Carolina and features panoramic views from the rim of the gorge on both sides of the Linville River. |
