The shortest hike to Devils Causeway is on East Fork Trail—numbered 1119 by the Forest Service—beginning at Stillwater Reservoir. The reservoir is at the dead end of Forest Service Road #900 out of Yampa, Colorado. This panorama was taken at 11,000 feet about two thirds of the way to Devils Causeway. The Causeway ridge can be seen above, left of the U-shaped pass. The trail continues toward the pass where a spur trail climbs the ridge. East Fork Trail then continues over the pass toward Causeway Lake. The climb to the pass looks intimidating but there is an excellent trail with switchbacks making it very moderate. The really intimidating part comes at the top. Back to Devils Causeway Panorama
